Use of our products requires internet access on the devices used, for example to download the quest data, the map, text and images, and to store and retrieve your quest progress. Use of our products requires the precise live geolocation of the device used in order to determine your real-world location on the map. Without this, the product cannot correctly function. You or the device owner must grant ESCAPEBYTES permission to access the precise device geolocation during gameplay. The geolocation information is only recorded on your device, and not transmitted to our servers. The accuracy of the geolocation depends on the availability and position of Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites, and is further affected by obstacles such as buildings and trees. You understand that this is out of our control and thus the map may not always accurately show your true location.3.1.3. Orientation information.
Some nonessential features of our products require the precise live orientation of the device used in order to determine your real-world orientation on the map. It is understood that this facility is not available, or does not function as required on all device types, particularly older devices. You are not entitled to a refund if your device orientation does not function as required, as you may continue use the product and complete the quests without it.
